The Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA) is a Branch of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada with a focus on western Canada. The agency was established by the federal government in 1935 in the midst of a prolonged and disastrous DROUGHT which saw an estimated 247 000 people leave the Prairies between 1931 and 1941.
PFRDA was established by Government of India on 23rd August, 2003. The Government has, through an executive order dated 10th october 2003, mandated PFRDA to act as a regulator for the pension sector.
